So I did it, I started a new project. I may regret it later, but for now, I'm excited. The podcast is called Your Number One and it centers on this one idea:

Each episode will have a different topic, like Your Number One Favorite Spy Movie or Your Number One Favorite Movie with Kevin Bacon or Your Number One Favorite Book Involving Dragons, etc. Each person in the panel (basically friends around my kitchen table) will discuss their choice and why it's their absolute, hands down favorite. No "Top 5", forget Win, Place, Show. This is about Your Number One.

I have a small group of friends joining in and it will just be a monthly, audio podcast. That may seem pretty infrequent, but I still have nightmares of doing a weekly, video podcast and how much work that was. Keeping it monthly and audio only should keep the fun level up for me and allow me to deal with everything related to the show. Plus, it will be fun having a group of friends over for dinner, sitting around the table gabbing about our favorite what-nots.

The first show will hopefully be out on Sept. 1st and the topic will be Your Number One Favorite Movie as a Kid That You Now Realize Sucks. We already have a good selection of movies and if you have one, head on over to Your Number One Podcast Ning Group and let us know about it. I'll also post an announcement there when the first episode is posted and we'll hopefully get listed in iTunes pretty soon after that.
