I wanted to give anyone a heads up that reads this blog for it's tech content or "insightful" commentary on Linux that the focus of this blog will probably be changing pretty drastically fairly soon. My interests and concerns have changed drastically over the last year and I've been avoiding posting here about it because I know this blog has a certain audience that probably wouldn't be interested. So... fair warning, this blog will change to reflect these new interests in sustainable farming and self-sufficiency and if you're not interested in them, please unsubscribe now.

Yes, I actually am starting to get into the ideas and lifestyle around sustainable farming and self-sufficiency. I'm not sure if it's a midlife crisis thing or not (considering I'm 31, I hope that doesn't mean I only live to 62!) but there have been a number of events and revelations that have happened recently that is pushing me in this direction. It doesn't mean I'm totally giving up on computers, since you can have electricity and an internet connection in the country, believe it or not, but I don't think that's going to be my main focus and hasn't been what I've wanted to talk about recently. Since this is a personal, selfish kind of blog, I will probably be writing more about my interests that keeping on the computers topic that it mainly has been so far.

So I've started a new blog devoted the data privacy and protection named, oddly enough, Data Privacy and Protection. This is an extension of my book idea and I figured I'd transition it a little to a blog first and slowly get the content worked out there. I will also be keeping the blog up to date on the latest developments and vulnerabilities concerning privacy and security. If you want to know more about backups, encryption, data theft prevention and fun things like that, go ahead and sign up for the feed.

Sadly, I really do find this fascinating and fun, so if you have any article ideas for the new blog, let me know and I'll research and post an answer out there.
