Opportunity vs. Problem

Our local bakery just let us know that they've stopped making their sourdough bread. This was one of their daily breads and recently we've tried to get some every Wednesday. Really good bread that smelled like a nice Beaujolais wine on the inside. As far as I could tell, it sold out every day. We asked them why they stopped making it.

Because local restaurants would buy all of it. Everyday.

To them, this was a problem. If restaurants bought it all, there would be none for the customers. The solution; stop making it and show the restaurants who's boss.

Wouldn't this be a great chance to try to work with the restaurant? Lower the price for them for advertising on the menu (bread brought to you by [company]) or a guaranteed order made everyday? Or just let them keep buying it. It's selling, right?

It's your mindset that makes a problem into an opportunity. Or an opportunity into a problem.
