Current Goings On
I've obviously been a little busy over the past year to really post much. It's mainly been because I've had a lot of exciting things happening.
- Been working on selling the house and moving to Wadsworth
- Kelly's been a handful. A fun, exciting, silly, crazy, goofy, chubby handful, but still a handful.
- I'm currently in a top secret project with Alan and Keith that will blow your socks off. Or knock you away. Or something. Stay tuned.
- I've been working on a project I hope to open source soon. It's a poker hand history parser that lets you read in your hand histories and then write Ruby scripts in a Domain Specific language to aggregate through them and display stats from it. Hope to get a working version going and then out on code.google.com.
- I'm hoping to work more on technical writing to get published in online or dead-tree technical journals. I'd like to get this to spring board me into giving conference presentations.
- I've been working on ways to make work life a little happier. Not just for me either, but all th developers. I've recently moved into a support role for them and I think there's a lot that needs done to improve the conditions/environment for the developers I work with. I'm wondering how far can push it before I get fired, and luckily, I'm willing to find out.
Coming up, Amy, Kelly and I are going to go to Boston in August and then the very next week, I'll be going to San Francisco for a week for SAP training. That should be exciting.
