Really Bad Job Posting Numero Dos

After the Really Bad Job Posting, I didn't really think I'd see anything worse than that. Little did I know...

I have never heard of IT Trailblazers but they will forever be embedded in my mind now, thanks to this wholly awful job posting on Dice. There are too many bad things to really even mention here. But I'll try.

Whoever wrote the job requirements does not know a single thing about technology. I will emphasize the worst parts in order to make them funnier.

Required Skills:
UNIX and Networking Knowledge
Unix Kernal Shells

Kernal?!? Do you mean Kernel?

Crion Scheduling on Unix

Crion?!? For those that don't know, they meant Cron. The company that wrote this should have known or they wouldn't be Trailblazers, would they?

Remote PC connectivity via modem from Unix - Unix and Windows - Unix Unix Concepts

Unix Unix Concepts? I've got one better. I've got Unix Unix UNIX Concepts

Schell Scripting

Schell? Do you mean Shell or Schnell? There's a big difference.

Then they have this section:

Nice to Have :
[4 + years of experience in UNIX,
UNIX and Networking Knowledge
Unix Kernal Shells
Crion Scheduling on Unix
Remote PC connectivity via modem from Unix - Unix and Windows - Unix Unix Concepts - Schell Scripting Perl Scripting Samba and X Windows]

Um...

Boss: I'd like you to put these skills as requirements for the job.
Job Writer: Okay. Is there anything you'd like to list as nice to have?
Boss: Good idea! List those as nice to have also.
Job Writer: The same skills?
Boss: Certainly!
Job Writer: Do you want them under required skills or nice to have skills.
Boss: Both! If they're required for the job then they must be nice to have. Am I right?!

The web site is truly awful. Really, don't visit it.

That's hilarious! I know little to nothing about tech stuff but I know that the person who wrote that should be fired. That company isn't going to get any applications from qualified people because they wouldn't bother applying.
