Thomas Friedman has the right viewpoint.

A lot of us who were jettisoned into a post-corporate world have learned that there is a life where you operate on a small scale, or in association with a few others and actively control your future by hard work and diligent planning.

We don’t have a hill or a castle. We have a business plan, good products or services and we deal openly with customers and let them know they are important to us.

You will probably be one of us before too long.

Of course Newt Gingrich has been talking about this for months….

One thing that seems to get overlooked enough is that we need to help organize works of these countries to increase thier standard of living. The thing that drives most of this is cheap labor… if we force foriegn companies to play at our standard the discrepency won’t be as bad.
